The Centre for Future Timber Structures (CFTS) at The University of Queensland is a centre of excellence for the education of future timber industry professionals and the creation of knowledge-based innovations that can drive the future development of timber in the built environment. The CFTS will be officially opened during an event at The University of Queensland’s Advance Engineering Building on the 12th July 2016 from 9:00am.
Attending the opening will be: Leanne Donaldson, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries; Professor Simon Biggs, executive dean for the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology; and Professor Jose Torero, head of School of Civil Engineering.
